Mark 4:35 – “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.”

What will you believe?  Do you believe you’ve heard my voice?  Or have you made it all up?  Have I been speaking words of comfort and victory, or has that been you – or maybe even the enemy?  Am I the Lord for my children, or am I for their enemies?  Is my promise to those who believe or to those who are in their sin?  Am I able and willing to move heaven and earth on your behalf?  Did I not move them already?

I am good.  I love you with an everlasting love.  I have not forgotten you.  I will not forsake you.  When I said, “Let’s go to the other side,” the destination was assured and secured.  I gave no thought to the storm that would come in the midst of the journey.  I knew the end from the beginning.  The storm comes to test your faith.  It comes to check whether or not you indeed believed the promise.  Stop analyzing everything in your mind.  My victory is not dependent on the route you take.  My victory is dependent upon my promise to you.  I have not called you to plot the way.  I have called you to take my hand and walk in the Way.  To trust me.  To take my hand and walk where I lead – knowing with confidence that you will never be alone.  Faith is to be sure of what you’ve hoped for.  The evidence of things not seen.

Come let us enjoy each other’s company on this journey.  Let me teach you the way of my sons.  I always lead my sons into victory.  Victory is only ever delayed.  It is never lost unless you draw back.  What did I say to you?  Did I say to stop focusing on the “How?”  Yet these thoughts consume your mind.  Did I not say that “Gideon himself was ‘the how’?”  The strategy is mine.  To use the weak to confound the strong.  To use the simple to confound the wise.  You have always been a vital part of my plan.  I desire to use you to expose the truth of the good news.  The good news is that the war is over.  I have defeated ALL OF YOUR ENEMIES!  The good news is an invitation to experience the fruits of this victory.  God – your God – I AM – is mighty to save.  I AM over all.  I AM not restrained in any way.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
