I am the Lord who strengthens you.  Why should you fear?  Have you forgotten the Lord who made you?  Why should you live in constant fear?  Their fury can no longer touch you!  Those who live in prisons will soon be set free; they will live a long life and have all the food they need.  (Isaiah 41:12-14)

I love you.  Open your eyes.  Believe my words.  You are my son.  Whose report will you believe?  Whose voice will you listen to?  Remember my promise to you.  I will not abandon you or your family.  For I the Lord love you.  I delight in you.  Be still and know that I am God alone.  I am sovereign over all.  I the Lord speak and the universe responds.  No one can invalidate my declarations, and I the Lord have declared that I am for you.  No weapon formed against you shall prosper.

I have good things in store for you and your family.  I have not left you and never will.  I have rebuked the devourer on your behalf.  I have closed the mouth of your accuser, and have clothed you in fine linens – clean clothes – robes of my righteousness.  I the Lord have declared you righteous and holy.  Who shall bring a charge against you?  You have a divine advantage, because I am with you.  I am for you.  I will not allow your foot to slip, because I the Lord will uphold you with my mighty right hand.  No one can separate you from me.  I have hedged you in – in the refuge of my wings.

Call to me and I will show you great and mighty things.  Do not lose heart.  I will not leave you in trouble.  I will give you justice. Rest in me.  Stand still and see my salvation.  You are not greater than my promise.  You cannot disqualify yourself.  I began this good work in you and I will be faithful to complete it.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
