Psalm 8:1 – Oh Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name and all the earth. Your glory fills the heavens… 4 what are mere mortals that you should be mindful of them, men that you should care for them? 5 yet you made them only a little lower than Elohim and crowned him with glory and honor. 6 you gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority –

Do not say “Who am I?” for you on my very own. Do not doubt your worth to me. It was for you that I gave my son. You are valuable to me. You are not despised. You will never be forsaken. For I chose to love you then, I choose to love you now, and I will always love you. I am love unending. You are the object of my desire.

I am your father. Today you have become my son. You were created in my image and likeness. You were born again, making you and I one spirit. Everything I have is yours. I made everything available to you through Jesus – and you are in Him. When I look at you, I see the son that I love. When I speak to you, it’s like I’m speaking to Him. As He was in this world, so are you now. Do not wait for another day; for today is the day of salvation.

All of creation is eagerly awaiting your appearance as my son. I have given you authority over everything. There is nothing that is not under your feet. Rise Up! Be my son in the earth. The authority that you have is over the darkness. It is meant to set the captives free. All of creation is longing and groaning for their liberation from sin and death. Receive my glory that you may release it in and in on the earth!

Who are you?

You are mine!  My beloved son!

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
