House Speaker Nancy Pelosi went to war with GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for comparing masking policies to Nazism and the Holocaust.
The Democrats’ masking policies of only forcing unvaccinated people be required to wear masks is a way of marking ‘others’ like the Nazis did in Germany, Marjorie Taylor Greene said this week.
“We can look back in a time in history where people were told to wear a gold star and they were definitely treated like second class citizens so much so that they were taken to trains and put into gas chambers in Nazi, Germany and this is exactly the type of abuse that Nancy Pelosi is talking about,” Greene said.
Speaker Pelosi called MTG’s comments “beyond reprehensible” said she “should stop talking.”
Nancy Pelosi called Marjorie Taylor Greene’s comments comparing the Holocaust to mask mandates “beyond reprehensible.” Asked whether she should be censured or expelled, Pelosi said Greene “should stop talking.”

GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy joined in and rebuked Marjorie Taylor Greene for pointing out that creating a caste system of “others” leads to a genocide.
“Marjorie is wrong, and her intentional decision to compare the horrors of the Holocaust with wearing masks is appalling,” McCarthy said. “Let me be clear: the House Republican Conference condemns this language.”
Although McCarthy isn’t taking disciplinary action against Greene he sided with the Democrats.
The Democrats never condemn their own, but McCarthy (Frank Luntz’s roommate) happily joined Pelosi in condemning Marjorie Taylor Greene.
