Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
My word is eternal. It stands forever. Every promise is yes and amen to those who believe. Does this word apply to you? Or for you did I say the opposite? Have I called you to fear? Have I said that I am not with you? Have I encouraged you to be dismayed? Did anyone declare to you that I was not in fact your God? Am I trying to weaken you? Have I refused to help you? Has my hand pulled the rug out from under your feet so you may fall?
Are these not the questions and charges my children bring against me? Do you not see how incredulous and unbelievable it would be for this verse to read the opposite of what it actually does say? Surely no one would make such a promise to one they love. For it is not a blessing but rather a curse. I the Lord have cursed my son – my only begotten son – so that you might be blessed. Who could curse that which I have blessed? No one! You’ve got to believe. This is the only work I have called you to. To believe my word. Believe my promise. Believe my son. When you believe – stand still and see my salvation. Test Me in this. For it is not a test of unbelief, but rather a test of belief. To stand in my promise – fully trusting and relying on my hand to support you is a testing of your faith. It is a test designed to strengthen your faith through the demonstration of my faithfulness.
When you stand in faith, God’s faithfulness will be revealed.
