This message is a little different than most of the fuzzy, feel-good prophetic messages circulating through the church of America right now.  How do discerning Christians proceed?  How should the Church be responding to current events?  Should the focus be on finding creative ways to reopen Sunday services?  Should the efforts be centered on fighting for religious rights that are under attack?

Update:  Let me add that I do not agree with all of the action steps that the Pastor is recommending.  Remember that God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of peace, love, and a sound mind.  If God is sounding an alarm, it is not meant for His people to despair or go to arms.  An American response would be for Johnny to get his gun.  However, I would challenge this as being a Christian response.  I believe a more appropriate response would be to PRAY.  If God is warning His people to “Brace Yourself,” then the most apropos action would be to ground ourselves in  prayer and the Word of God.  To put on the full armor of God that we might stand in the evil day.  And then after having done all to stand, we must still stand.

Update 7/2:

I think this is a good response to Dana’s dreams.  While I don’t agree with everything this man is saying, I think the dreams require a call to prayer more than they do a call to arms.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!

I thought this was a good response in some ways to Dana’s dreams. I don’t agree with everything that this man says, but do think it is a call to prayer more than it is a call to arms!
