Rigtheousness Is A Free Gift

For years the church has taught that righteousness is earned through behavior. That if you do this, then you'll be that. If you do what's right, and don't do what's wrong, then you'll be accepted. But the exact opposite is true. Doing flows from being, and not vice versa.

God Is Love

God is love. He loves us because that's who He is. He loved us first. We are not loved based on our performance, but rather based on His character.

Guilty

God has judged us guilty of being righteous by faith in the son of God. Our standing is based on Christ's performance and our acceptance.

Go Into All The World

Jesus said, "Follow me." He's called us to go into all the world, and these signs will follows those who believe . . . In His name they will lay thier hands on . . .

We are called to follow. . .

We are not called to go to church.  We are not even called to read our Bibles.  We are called to follow Him.  The same call that he gave to his disciples is the same call He cries out today – “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand; and come follow me!”

We are called to follow him.  We are called to make disciples. We are called to heal the sick, give sight to the blind, raise the dead, and cast out demons.

Yet for many Christians, the idea of sharing our faith is terrifying.  Christians who have been raised in church their whole life have never dared to lay their hands on the sick.  They haven’t the slightest idea how to make a disciple, or even speak to another person about their faith.

Something doesn’t quite add up.  It is time for another reformation.  A reformation that restores the church back to the picture painted of it in the Bible.  It is time to stop calling ourselves “Christians” and become disciples.  It is time to follow Him.
