Hebrews 10:30 – For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”
God is a just God and He will settle and solve the cases of His people.
Settle is a legal term meaning to resolve any dispute/trespass justly. God will not allow His people to experience double jeopardy for their sins. He will not allow the same crime to be paid for two times, without repaying double. Jesus already paid for all of our sins on the cross. He took upon Himself the wrath of God and satisfied that wrath through His suffering. This is why God will not entertain accusations against His own. Because the case and charges against us have already been settled.
God does not draw a line between the natural and the spiritual worlds. he says there is one spirit, one baptism, one faith. One savior has come to save me so wholly – to the uttermost – that is saved both spiritually and naturally. If the good news does not or did not apply to the natural world we live in, then why would Jesus heal ALL who were sick and oppressed by the devil? His salvation was complete. yet, men have failed to preach the completeness of this good news. Men continue to struggle in the natural, because they do not believe Jesus is a very present help in time of trouble. They believe that we are doomed to reap everything we sow. When we preach that Jesus came only to save our spirits, we cannot enter into the fullness of the finished work because of unbelief. We fail to believe that God can help us now, today, in every test and trial of life we face. Yet, how will they believe unless they have heard? This is the GOOD NEWS!
PS – this does not give us license to sin as Paul says, but rather explains the transaction of salvation.
