Psalm 1:2 – They delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never weather, and they prosper in all they do … 6 for the Lord watches over the path of the godly.

Delight in me says your Lord and your God. I am watching over you. I have ordered your steps – for you are my righteous one in Christ Jesus your Lord. Meditate on my laws. The whole law can be summed up with one word – LOVE. Love me. Love others. Meditate on this. I am love. I love you with an unconditional, everlasting love. Nothing you do could make me love you more. Nothing you’ve done can make me love you less. My love for you is constant.

Let this revelation take root deep in your heart. Let it go deep within your soul. For my love is the very foundation of your being. I am love. I created you out of my love for you. You were created in my image – the image of love. Love is patient and kind, as are you. Submit yourself unto me. Believe my love for you. Let my love crush your fear and firmly established you in me. I am the vine. You are my branch. I’ve created you to bear much fruit. Fruit in every season. Whether winter or summer, both are harvest time. You’ve been grafted into me – the ever unchanging one.

Let my love have its perfect work in you my son, that you might bear much fruit. Even in the desert, may you bear much fruit. I will never leave you nor forsake you. Abide in me, and let me fill your life with the good fruit of the spirit. That is your portion: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Let your fruit prosper in every season. For my love for you will never whether or fade says the Lord.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
