Isaiah 26:3 – God will keep you in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.
Whenever you get your mind off of Me, you lose your peace. That is why I say: “Lift your eyes up – to where your help actually comes from.” When your thoughts wander to the how’s and why’s you lose your peace. Remember my word and my promise to you is a two-edged sword. While it cuts for you, it also cuts against all those who would war against you. But when you get your mind off of me and onto the details of the circumstances around you, my peace cannot aid you. Not because I am unwilling, but because you have cut yourself off from me. This is why I tell you to keep your mind-set on the Spirit. For a mind-set on the Spirit is life and peace. I am the God of your peace. The work is finished. The battle is already won.
Yet when you take your eyes off of Me, when you try to figure out what to do, you allow the enemy access to your peace. He comes to steal your peace. He comes to destroy hope by tearing down your mind-set. He comes to kill or separate you from the life of the Spirit. but in reality he is already defeated. He has no legal authority to act. He is trespassing on the peace treaty that he was forced to sign when Christ – your victor – won the war. That treaty of peace was actually between God and man. The enemy has no standing in the negotiation of the terms of his surrender. He has been defeated, and must forfeit any spoils or booty he has been illegally holding.
God will keep you in perfect peace when you trust Him. When you trust Him, you can rest assured that He is trustworthy. He is good, and delights in giving you His kingdom and the desires of your heart. God the Father receives glory from and through His son – whom you are! He desires to glorify you, for in doing so He in turn receives much glory. God receives no glory in our continual struggle and defeat. He receives no glory in our sickness and disease. He receives glory when His power is displayed in us and on our behalf. When His children receive good gifts from the Father. He receives glory when the enemy comes to steal, curse, kill, and destroy, and He turns those plans on their head. He receives glory when the plans of the enemy are used against him – when they backfire on him, and instead of stealing we get more. Instead of being cursed we are blessed. In the place of death, we receive life. And where there was once destruction and devastation, the Lord rebuilds the ruins more gloriously and grandiosely than ever before. That brings the Father glory. When the earth sees the sons of God being blessed!
