Judges 6:8 – Thus says the Lord God: “I brought you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of bondage; (9) and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians and out of the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out from before you and gave you their land.

I have bought you with a price. Through the blood and body of my son I have translated you from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light and the Son of my love. I have set you free from the strong hand of your enemy and rendered him powerless and defeated. Through the finished work of my son (who is your righteousness), I have given you all authority over all the power of the enemy. That means fear is done! Sin has lost its power – death its sting. I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing and given you the name that is above every other name. Who could oppress you? Who could stand and accuse/curse that which I the Lord have declared to be blessed?

I have called you by my Holy Name. You are mine. I have bought you with a price. I paid for you with the blood and body of my son. I have redeemed you and given you the name that is above every other name. I have made you one with my son. I have put you into Him. If you are in Him, you are in His name. Therefore, the magic is not in saying the name of Jesus, but rather your placement, position and standing in Him. If you are found in Him, when you ask anything it will be from the place of being in Him. Standing in your identity as His name – my beloved son – in whom I am well pleased. Do not reckon yourself out of my son. This is where I have placed you, and your ability to see yourself in Him is key to your victory. If you always see yourself as less than, striving but never attaining, then you will not stand and ask in confidence. You will be double-minded, and certain to receive nothing from me. But, if you see yourself in union and communion with My son, then there is nothing and no one who can disqualify you. For I the Lord have qualified you through the blood and body of my son. You are in Him – that makes YOU my anointed one. Anointed with the same spirit and power as Jesus was when He walked the earth. As He was – so are you. Now! Today! Not striving or attaining to be, but are right now in reality. See yourself in me. Then, when you ask anything you will know that you will get whatever you ask for.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
