Isaiah 46:10 – From the beginning I predicted the outcome; long ago I foretold what would happen. I said my plans would never fail, that I would do everything that I have intended to do.

I the Lord have declared your end from the beginning. Has this not been my word to you from the beginning? And did I not reassure you that there was no need to fear for the outcome was going to be good? You’ve questioned if this was my voice, because of the bumps you’ve hit along the way. But, look! Here it is in My word – it confirms the words you’ve heard from me long ago! It is my promise to you.

Now look my son at the promise immediately following – “My plans will never fail.” That means that not even you can cause my plans to fail if your heart is in the right place. You cannot disrupt my plans. I will do everything I’ve intended to do. And son, my intentions in this trial are for much more than your deliverance. they are for many, many more to be set free. What I am doing in you is far bigger than you. It is not only for your glory, but Mine as well! This is an opportunity for Me to display my heart, my goodness, and my power. You will be a safe place for many men.

Yet, my soul can take no pleasure in you if you draw back. My pleasure is only fulfilled in the present moment. If you withdraw from the present; if you give up; if you can’t get past your past – you will never enter into the fullness of my pleasure for you. The enemy knows this. He knows the end is near. He will pull out all the stops to get you to be discouraged and draw back. It is his only strategy – to get you convinced that there will be no victory to enter into. But my Spirit always lead you into victory.

The only time you don’t inherit the victory is when you stop – when you draw back. When you fail to follow My lead. The enemy has no power to stop the victory. He can only convince you that there is no victory to be had – that the situation is hopeless. That it would be better for you to concede to the “obvious” rather than continuing in this struggle which will only make your eventual defeat worse. He convinces you that the longer you contend, the longer you keep your hopes up, the longer you hold on to the promise – the greater your disappointment will be. The worse you will suffer defeat because of the disparity between your hope and the “reality” of the situation.

But the devil is a liar! Victory is all I assure you of – UNLESS you draw back. It’s like stopping one step short of the finish line. It’s like surrendering to an enemy that’s already been defeated It’s like forfeiting the game in the last quarter when you’re up by 40 points! It’s like leaving the contest right before they call your number. DO NOT DRAW BACK!! I the Lord have declared your end from the beginning – and it is good! For a future and a hope.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
