Psalm 11:1 – I trust in the Lord for protection. For… The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth… 5 The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked… 7 For the righteous Lord loves justice. The virtuous will see His face.

Justice and judgment are in my hands says the Lord your God. There is nothing that my eye does not see. I notice everything from my great throne. I will always reign. I always have. No one will be able to get away with anything under my watch.

Do not say I did not see the wicked deeds of evil men. They will not escape judgment. But what is it to you if I should offer them the same mercy I extended to you? Does my heart not also love the sinner? Did my son not come for those who were lost? Were you not also one of them?

Have mercy my son. Freely you have received, freely give. Trust yourself into my hand. You do not suffer in vain. I will take vengeance on your enemies says the Lord. Do not think I do not see your pain and suffering. Rejoice and be glad. For you have been counted worthy to suffer for Him. You will receive your reward. Those who suffer with Him in this life are destined to reign with him in the life to come. Do not grow weary in doing good. Do not lose heart, for every seed will bear its fruit in due season.

Come unto me. Hide yourself in me. Let me be your protector and defender. The enemy can take nothing from you that I will not repay and return to you with increase. Come to me and find your rest. I love true justice. Find yourself in me, and I will show you the smile on my face.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
