Psalm 50:14 – Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. 15 Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory… 23 giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.

Many people spend a lifetime seeking to know my will, but my will is explicitly defined in my word. My will is for you to always give thanks. In every season and circumstance – give thanks. Your inability to thank me reveals your lack of trust. Trust me for I am trustworthy. Have faith in me for I am faithful. Take me at my word, and let me prove to you that my word is true.

In everything give thanks. Look to me , for I am good. When you are in trouble, call on me. I will not leave you in any trouble. Take heart. This is not the end. I will not leave you here. I will rescue you. I will reveal to you my salvation. But first, give thanks.

I am not interested in your money. I have enough money. What I want is your heart. I look for those whom I can trust. Acknowledge me in all your ways, and I will make your path straight. When you give thanks, you release my power into your situation. Whatever that situation may be, I cannot resist thankfulness. Not just saying things with your mouth in words, but giving thanks from a truly thankful heart.

When you’ve given thanks and call to me, I will rescue you and you will give me glory. You cannot give what you do not have. Therefore I will glorify you when you call to me. The key is thanksgiving. Thanksgiving opens the door to my presence and my glory. This is my will – give thanks.

For one growing up in church, they could get the idea that sanctification is a process. That one becomes holier the closer he adheres to God's law and commandments now that they have received the free gift of salvation. However, righteousness is completely free! It is available to us through the finished work of Christ. It is all His doing. All His work! None of our own, lest we should boast. This is good news!
